The old trading dhows of the UAE are brightly painted and decorated with colourful pictures. My series on Dhow Art involves photos of the sections of the sides which I mounted on canvas. The cracked paint, rusty bolts and old rope all add to the colour and texture. I also photographed the decorations painted on the columns of the dhows such as flowers and patterns. These pictures are currently being exhibited at the Majilis Gallery in Bastikaya, Dubai.
